This project was begun in the summer of 2002. The goal was to build with as much local material as possible. The straw is from our neighbors, the clay for the plaster is from pit 15 feet away, and the frame is red and white pine harvested within the semi-local area. As of summer 2007 the project is close to completetion (with a sauna coming soon) and we are offering tours and free opinions if you happen to be in the Cornucopia, Wisconsin area.
