Our home base is called Lost Creek Orchard, an off-grid homestead located in Cornucopia, Wisconsin. We have a yurt, workshop, and strawbale house project begun in the summer of 2002. The goal for the house was to build with as much local material as possible. The straw is from our neighbor, the clay for the plaster is from a pit 15 feet away, and the frame is red and white pine harvested within the local area. There's a sauna coming soon, and we are offering tours and free opinions if you happen to be in the area.
